Worship this Sunday, Sept 22 at 9:30 AM: How’s your heart? I’m not talking about your literal heart, pumping blood to your body. What about your metaphorical heart, the locus of emotion, intention, compassion, and love? In this passage the author of James gives us a kind of EKG, checking the condition of our hearts. Are we filled with selfish motives, ambition at all costs, and impure motives? Or are we filled with love, compassion, grace, and peacemaking? And if our hearts aren’t in the best condition, what can we do about it? Let’s discuss!

Green Lake UMC also welcomes guest speaker Amir Khan who is coming to talk with us about the CROP Walk and get us motivated to make a difference by fighting hunger.
