Earth Day
Praising the beauty of God’s creation is an essential part of our ongoing faith journey and worship experience. Each year we emphasize our creation stewardship through our week-long celebration.

Sunday April 20th
This year our Sunday worship will feature special activities for the children. Following worship, everyone is invited to a Green Lake Welcoming Luncheon. After nourishing ourselves with the earth’s bounty, we will give back to the earth and to our community by picking up trash around Green Lake.

Join us in our Christian witness as we uplift God’s creation.

Tuesday April 22nd (Earth Day) 7pm
You are invited to a healing ceremony. The service is a meditation in which we offer healing thoughts and prayers for ourselves, the planet and all of God’s creation.

Friday April 25th 6pm
Come celebrate at the Green Lake UMC Earth Day Fair. Join us for a light meal at 6:00PM followed by a presentation of “An Inconvenient Truth” at 7:00PM. There will be some time for discussion once the movie concludes.

We will have a booth with earth friendly shopping bags stuffed with energy-saving items and coupons and a lesson on how to measure your carbon footprint, tips on recycling and composting.
